This morning I awoke to this link to an e-card sent to the band by our long-time friend, road/production manager and house mixer, Michael Malfesi (pictured below). After I finished laughing out loud, I KNEW I had to send this on to YOU today.
For 10 years starting in the mid-1980s, he was a staff writer with ABC Radio National, creating and recording topical music parodies and morning commuter broadcast comedy bits monthly for over 200 ABC satellite affiliates across the United States.
This past weekend (Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10th and 11th), found us in North Carolina — specifically, Greensboro and Winston-Salem, where we played the communities’ Coliseums as part of the longstanding Salvation Army food-raising drives.
The DVD/CD set of our St. Thomas show in February, 2010 … where Doc Robinson (lead singer of King Harvest’s 1973 hit version of Dancin’ in the Moonlight) reunited with former Boffalongo bandmate Larry Hoppen on stage after 40 YEARS!
