Larry’s Memorial Show in Nashville (Nov. ’12)

Most of you are already aware of the sudden passing of my brother and partner, Larry Hoppen, on July 24th. In the wake of this tragedy, Orleans (Fly Amero, Lane Hoppen, Charlie Morgan, returning co-founder John Hall and myself) made a commitment to finish 2012’s calendar of live shows. The Band Plays On as Hall Departs for Congress – Nov. 21, ’06

Orlando, FL (PRWeb) November 21, 2006 — One of the founding members of the American band Orleans was recently elected to United States Congress (N.Y.-19). John Hall will soon be serving his state and country in Washington DC starting in January. The band has agreed they will forge on, including Mr. Hall in select future shows while continuing with returning Orleans member Dennis “Fly” Amero. Orleans – with both Hall and Amero – will soon release its first live concert DVD. The group will continue to play shows to promote the new studio album, “Dancin’ In The Moonlight.”

American band Orleans – known best for its pop standards “Still The One” and “Dance With Me”, still on radio and other media after 30 years – is alive, well and sporting a newly active summer calendar 34 years into its self-described ‘work in progress’ with the original members.

Orleans Releases New Studio CD (June 20, ’06)

American band Orleans’ first studio album in 10 years “Dancin’ in the Moonlight” was nationally released in May through California independent label Friday Music. The tracks are also available on iTunes and other popular digital download music sites.

The new album features original Orleans members Lance and Larry Hoppen and John Hall, plus ex-Elton John drummer Charlie Morgan, youngest Hoppen brother Lane and guest appearances by Charlie Dechant (saxophone with Hall & Oates 30 years) and teen mandolin phenom Josh Pinkham. Orleans is donating 10% of sales profits to Red Cross Hurricane Relief to aid New Orleans, the city whose music inspired the band’s name, in its recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
